Aphrodite Dracopoulos

Aphrodite Dracopoulos Aphrodite Dracopoulos is a PhD Candidate in the Glaucoma lab at the Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network in Toronto. Her research is focused on the development and validation of a new medical device that can non-invasively measure intraocular pressure over extended periods of time, particularly during sleep.

She obtained her MSc from the University of Waterloo in 2005 where she developed various in vitro assays to assess ocular medical device toxicity and was awarded the Dean of Science Award in recognition of creative research.

Her primary interests are in the area of glaucoma management and ocular toxicology.

Aphrodite has received the Peterborough K.M. Hunter Graduate Studentship for her PhD studies as well as scholarships from the Vision Science Research Program.
